Today is a day to which I’ve looked forward for over a year.
I’m very pleased to announce that Angela White, our colleague at JGA since 1996, will become the new CEO of JGA on July 1st!
As a founder and current CEO, I have a very strong interest in helping JGA grow and continue its successful work with clients --- and Angela is very much the right next leader to help us accomplish those things.
I’ve always believed that a firm serves its clients best by having each member of the firm be a direct and important part of the effort. It is why we are an employee owned ESOP firm. Each of us is an owner.
It is why my colleagues and I have taken over a year to think about future leadership requirements here and who would be best to take over. This decision comes straight out of our values and will- from my perspective- end up making JGA even stronger in our work for clients.
Angela has been serving since last winter as Senior Consultant and COO--- and I can tell you that she has learned and prepared very well for her new role. This feels like a very natural transition for her, for the firm and for me. She has superb consulting skills combined with natural leadership abilities.
I’ll continue to work full time at JGA. Those who know me well always poke at me with the suspicion that I am only happy when very, very busy and engaged in multiple projects. Mea Culpa!
I will continue as Chairman of JGA’s board of directors and am enthusiastic about my continuing work with clients, with staff training and development and service to our profession.
Over the past 17 years, JGA has been honored to partner with many nonprofits that make a real impact on our world through their work. I look forward to the many new and continued partnerships JGA will make with clients under Angela’s expert leadership.
At JGA, we’ve always worked hard to have a strong team and good leadership. We truly have the right person for the right job at the right time. It’s an exciting time for all of us here.
